Another site you should go to while in the town will be the International Maritime Museum. The museum is focused on the city’s maritime history and human connection to the ocean. The most ancient artifact is a dugout constructed from a tree’s trunk. There are numerous models and objects of vessels from the past and even the Phoenician ship dating to the period of Christ. It is also possible to tour the ship that made the journey towards the New World.

Don’t forget to stop by St. Michael’s Church if you’re there. This baroque 17th-century church is a must-see. It is possible to visit the church without cost, but paying a fee to ascend the clock tower or go through the catacombs is necessary. The views from the building are stunning, and the interior is filled with gorgeous art and the typical ornaments of a historical church.
