In the 2022 Academy Awards, actor Will Smith shocked the world as he walked up onto stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock. The incident came after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, Will’s wife.

He was banned from Academy events for 10 years as a result, while Rock dealt with the incident by performing a comedy special on Netflix.
