Penelope Cruz celebrated her 50th birthday in style

Penelope Cruz celebrated her 50th birthday in style, joined by a star-studded group of friends including Salma Hayek, Rosalía, Robert De Niro, and more. The Spanish actress marked this milestone with a memorable gathering just days after Victoria Beckham’s own celebration, surrounded by close friends and her husband, Javier Bardem.

Cruz’s birthday fell on April 28th, and she kicked off the festivities by attending Bad Bunny’s concert followed by an evening of partying with friends. On April 29th, she shared a delightful gallery of photos from the celebration, capturing moments with Rosalía, Robert De Niro, Matt Damon, Salma Hayek, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ricky Martin, Pedro Almodóvar, Julian Schnabel, Rob Marshall, John Deluca, and her Ferrari co-star, Adam Driver.

Feeling overwhelmed with love and happiness, the birthday woman captioned her photos with heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Thank you for so much love! Cheers to all!”

Among the guests, Rosalía expressed her adoration with a simple “te adoro” comment, while fans delighted in seeing candid moments of their admired celebrities together. One commenter remarked, “I love these candid photos and wow. Celebrities I actually really admire. Wonderful group of people.”

Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz share one of Hollywood’s cherished friendships, which fans adore whenever they reunite.

On Cruz’s birthday, Hayek shared a touching tribute, reminiscing about their shared experiences over the years. “Thank you, God, for sending to Earth a special number of years ago an angel. All of us who’ve crossed paths with her know that she’s made our life crazy, exciting, meaningful, inspiring, and taught us the meaning of solidarity and loyalty with so much love,” Hayek wrote in the caption.

Cruz’s birthday celebration follows just a month after her husband’s 55th birthday. Hayek, known for her heartfelt birthday posts, shared a special throwback photo with the couple, writing, “Feliz Cumpleanos viejo hermoso.”

Although Cruz and Hayek starred together in the 2006 film Bandidas, they have not collaborated on screen since then. However, Hayek worked with Bardem in the film, The Roads Not Taken.

Reflecting on their collaboration, Hayek shared her initial hesitations due to their friendship. “I always say, ‘If you want to spoil a friendship, you either borrow a friend’s money or play with him in a movie,'” she revealed.

Despite the challenges, the filming experience bonded them. “The next day, we left our trailers, stepped in front of a camera, and Javier was Leo, and I was Dolores. We transformed into the actors who first met on this set, just two strangers doing our job,” Hayek reflected.
