Los Angeles-born actress and singer Luna Blaise is rapidly gaining recognition in Hollywood for her exceptional acting skills. Born on October 1, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, Luna is the daughter of Paul Boyd, a director/writer from Glasgow, Scotland, and Angelyna Martinez-Boyd, a talent manager of Hispanic and Jewish descent from Texas.

From an early age, Luna exhibited a natural passion for acting, captivating her parents and family friends with her ability to bring characters to life. She ventured into the professional world at the age of five, starring in commercials and modeling for renowned national brands like McDonald’s, KFC, Dunkin Hines, Target, Gap, and Juicy Couture.

Luna’s film debut came in 2012 when she portrayed Nina in Vladimir de Fontenay and Nina Ljeti’s independent film “Memoria,” based on James Franco’s Palo Alto short stories. Franco also served as the executive producer for the film.

In 2014, Luna made her mark on network television with a recurring role as Nicole, the spirited next-door neighbor of the Huang Family, in ABC’s popular comedy “Fresh Off The Boat.” Her performance in Nicole’s coming-out episode during the fourth season earned acclaim from Entertainment Weekly, and Luna received a Young Artist Award for Recurring Young Actress in 2016.

In 2018, Luna secured a series regular role as Olive in the NBC drama “Manifest,” alongside Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas. Created by Jeff Rake and executive produced by Robert Zemeckis, the show explores the lives of individuals whose routine flight takes a mysterious turn, leading to a five-and-a-half-year time gap upon landing. The second season of the series was scheduled to return in early 2020.

Beyond her acting career, Luna is a passionate advocate for equal human rights, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. She has partnered with GLAAD, emphasizing that “love has no labels, period.” Luna is also a trained dancer with ten years of study in Russian ballet and an accomplished singer/songwriter, independently releasing singles such as “Over You” (2016), “Camera Roll” (2018), and “Secrets” (2018).
